We are pleased to announce the hiring of Matt DePinto as Research Manager for NAI Horizon. Matt has extensive knowledge of commercial real estate and adds greater depth to our research efforts. “The challenge was to find an individual who brought real estate research experience, coupled with editorial, design, branding, and data analysis,” said Thad Seligman, President of NAI Horizon. “It has taken us all of the past 8 months to design the position and find the right individual to manage our research component. Additionally, he is an integral part of the team responsible for the relaunch of our social media efforts. His interest in promoting NAI online should help us reach our goal in providing better market knowledge for the community.”

Prior to NAI, Matt worked as Research Manager for Colliers International, Phoenix where he implemented new strategies to enhance broker participation along with developing new database protocols for securing critical market data. He worked extensively with corporate research to implement new research products and methodologies.

Prior to Colliers, Matt spent 14 years in the publishing arena. At Gannett Pacific Publications, Matt led the development of several new magazine launches and developed the design structure for existing publications. At Phoenix Business Journal, he spent eight years as Graphics Editor where he was responsible for publication, design and production of the weekly newspaper, magazines and supplements. Prior to publishing, Matt was corporate art director for several local financial firms.

Matt is a longtime Valley resident and attended Arizona State University. His interests lie in community outreach projects, animal rescue and travel – primarily visiting the ocean as often as possible.

18 Year Industry Veteran Brings Diverse Skill Set to NAI Office Properties Group

PHOENIX – NAI Horizon welcomed Laurel Lewis to our Office Properties Group this past August. Laurel comes to us with 18 years of commercial real estate experience in the Valley and has focused her attention on the East Valley Office Market. Laurel has spent the past 10 years with Grubb and Ellis (Cassidy Turley) and prior to that was with Insignia/ESG. During her career Lewis has worked with a number of clients including: Holualoa Arizona, Kieckhefer Company, Mainspring, Birtcher Anderson, Wilshire Oil, BPG Properties, Presson Equities, Equs, Wilson Properties, Shidler Group, Capital Pacific Homes, Isagenix International, Pulice Construction, Engenuity Systems, PDS Technology, Kunz, Plitt, Hyland, Demlong & Kliefield Law, Pivotal Research, IVEDA and Spectrum Engineering.

Laurel holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, is a member of NAIOP, and has given back to the community through her volunteer efforts with Phoenix Youth at Risk, Lost Boys of Sudan and Arizona Woman Education and Employment (AWEE). She is also an avid hiker who has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro (19,340’) in Africa, a runner, rock climber, biker, and all around outdoor enthusiast.

13 Year Industry Veteran Joins NAI Multifamily Properties as Senior Vice President

PHOENIX – NAI Horizon welcomes Bobby Bull, as Senior Vice President specializing in Multifamily Properties.  Mr. Bull has over 13 years of commercial investment brokerage experience and most recently was a Managing Director at Transwestern’s Phoenix Office.  Mr. Bull was consistently one of the top Investment Sales Brokers during his five years with Transwestern. In 2009, Mr. Bull actively participated in the sale of approximately $90,000,000 worth of apartment properties totaling 1,396 units.  To date, Mr. Bull has participated in the successful closing of over $2 billion in apartment properties and land within and outside Arizona, consisting of more than 10,000 units and nearly 5,000 acres of land. Bobby will help build our Multifamily Division here at NAI Horizon and is a member of the NAI Global National Multifamily Group as well as the Western Region’s Institutional Investment and Multifamily Group.

Bull graduated from New Mexico State University and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, the Arizona Multi-Housing Association and the National Multi-Housing Council.  During his career Bull has worked with a number of clients including; Eastdil Secured, HSL Properties, Gray Development, Wachovia, AIMCO, Archstone, Principal Financial, Atlantic Development, Alliance Residential, Maxx Properties, Sentinel Properties, Bascom Group and many private capital investors.  Bobby has provided commitment, knowledge and extensive resources to consistently maximize value to his clients.
