NAI Horizon Announces Hiring Of Steve Prokopek

 

Joins the Healthcare RealtySource Team as Healthcare Property Specialist

PHOENIX – NAI Horizon welcomes the addition of Steve Prokopek, as Healthcare Property Specialist with their Healthcare RealtySource Team led by Tom Weinhold. Prokopek has spent 17 years in the field of economic development within the Greater Phoenix area, assisting cities with attracting and developing new employment and revenue generating projects. He has extensive experience, in the Northwest Valley assisting tenants, developers, and owners find real estate solutions including space and land searches, entitlement, permitting, public assistance programs and facility planning.

Prokopek strives to provide long term service that extends beyond the real estate transaction. Most recently he was the Director of Economic Development with the City of Peoria and worked the last 7 years developing healthcare strategies and assisting healthcare projects in the Northwest Valley.

“While in that position Steve was involved in attracting 4,000,000 square feet of new office and industrial development, the addition of 4 luxury auto dealerships, the Peoria Regional Medical Center, the Cibola Vista Resort and the Peoria Place project in downtown Peoria” said Thad Seligman, President of NAI Horizon. “Steve brings unique skill sets to our medical team and provides the medical community important inside knowledge as a result of his history working with city and county municipalities.”

Prokopek was born in Chicago and he moved to Arizona in 1978. Steve grew up in the Moon Valley area and went to Thunderbird High School. He received his Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Colorado and his Masters in Public Administration from Arizona State University.

18 Year Industry Veteran Joins NAI Office Properties Group as Vice President

PHOENIX – NAI Horizon welcomes the addition of Rob Downing, as Vice President with their Office Properties Group. Downing originated his commercial real estate career in the Seattle/Bellevue, WA market where he spent 11 very successful years as a top agent with Kidder Mathews, Seattle’s top commercial brokerage company. He was a First Vice President and a Principal who specialized in Office Leasing and Investment Sales. Over the past 4 years Rob has been President and CEO of Summit Property Group in Seattle, a company which developed and operated over $50,000,000 worth of retail, office and condo properties.

“I am thrilled to have another experienced office agent join our team as we continue to build our office capability and coverage in the market. Rob’s depth of experience and successful background in representing institutional clients will be a great asset to our efforts in the Phoenix market,” said Thad Seligman, President of NAI Horizon.

Downing graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) canidate. In his spare time Rob is a competitive runner, having run numerous marathons including the 2006 NY Marathon and in 2007 completed his first Ironman. During his career Downing has worked with a number of clients including; Washington Mutual Bank, Mellon Bank, Boeing, Regence Blue Shield, Comp USA, Key Bank and Claremont Technologies.
